SHREE GHANAPATHY TEMPLE

The Shree Ghanapathy Temple is one of the most innovative Hindu Temples of its kind.Since our opening in 1981, we have developed an unparalleled approach to serving the Hindu community throughout the world, whilst also contributing to and supporting the multicultural and diverse country that we live in. The Shree Ghanapathy Temple has been operating as a Hindu place of worship for over 40 years. From its first service on Sunday 12th September 1981, the Shree Ghanapathy Temple has grown and adapted to the changing needs of the Hindu Community. We have a holistic, diverse and inclusive approach in providing for the spiritual, and emotional needs of the community. Our temple is fortunate to have a group of amazing volunteers that reflects the diversity of those that use the Temple and its facilities. These volunteers are the cogs which keep the Temple moving and help to ensure that the Temple runs seamlessly throughout the year.

Special Messages

The temple is open continuously during our opening hours (we do not close during the hours shown). We have a small car park. There is pay and display on-street parking (subject to availability).

With effect from Sunday 1 February 2026 we will be opening the temple every day from 8am (our closing time will remain as 9.30pm). We hope this will allow devotees a better opportunity to pray before they start their working day.

Everyone is welcome

The Temple was created to serve Lord Ganesha and his devotees, to give spiritual and emotional comfort to all those who need it.

The Temple is open to all who wish to come and pray, regardless of wealth or status, social background, gender identity or creed. We welcome those from outside our faith who wish to learn about our traditions and culture.
